Dive Rite TransPac

Inspired by a remote dive exploration in Japan where divers had to hike their heavy gear through dry portions of cave to get to the underwater sumps. The explorers also needed the versatility to switch their gear configuration from backmount to sidemount to single tanks (flexibility that a traditional hard backplate does not offer). Designed like a mountaineer’s backpack, the TransPac disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. A soft backplate accommodates sidemount diving, yet gives appropriate support for single tanks, double tanks or rebreathers. Slots in the backplate fit standard 36-inch cam straps (included) for single tank diving. The modular design allows for customization using an assortment of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver.

Dive Rite Classic 360 Wing

The Classic 360 takes the technical dive world’s very first doubles wing to a new level. Designed specifically for use with double cylinders, the Classic 360 Wing is the most streamlined wing of its kind on the market. Its streamlined shape comes from the unique side panels that maintain lift capacity, while minimizing drag by reducing overall width. The donut bladder design is preferred by some divers because it offers more precise control over buoyancy and prevents air from "sticking" in one side of the wing. New tech divers will often gravitate to donut wings as some find it easier to learn to dive doubles in a donut style wing.
Lift capacity 65lbs/29kg
Weight 3lbs/1.4kg
Price: £224.95

Dive Rite Travel 360 Wing

The Travel Wing returns to its former 30lbs/14kg of lift, yet retains its longer center panel in order to accommodate metal backplates. The Travel Wing is a popular choice among warm water divers looking for a compact single tank wing that is lightweight and easy to pack for travel. The donut-style shape provides an even volume of inflation, keeping single tank divers steady and trim underwater. Tough, cordura nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion. Choose from several different lengths of exhaust hose and low pressure inflation hose length (see tech specs). Optional RiteSource integrated octo. The Travel 360 Wing has 30 lbs/14 kg of lift and can accommodate one 95 ft3/15L back mounted cylinder. The Travel 360 Wing is designed for use with the TransPac, Transplate or any webbing-style harness.

Dive Rite Rec Wing

Designed to be worn with double tanks or singles, the Rec Wing is our most popular due to its versatility. The Rec Wing employs a Gusset Control System (GCS) cord woven through tabs on the front face of the wing. When tightened, the cord limits lift capacity so the Rec Wing can be used with single backmount tanks. When the GCS cord is loosened, the Rec Wing provides its full lift capacity of 51 pounds/23 kg of lift and can accommodate two 95 ft3/15 L back mounted cylinders. Loose or tight, the GCS cord helps the Rec Wing maintain a small profile for divers traversing in tight passages and the cord compression helps in dumping air. Tough, ballistic nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion. The 15-mil urethane bladder is abrasion resistant, chemical resistant and resists the growth of microorganisms.

Dive Rite Super Wing

The Super Wing incorporates two bladders to provide back-up inflation. It is designed for cold-water technical divers who need exceptional lift to counterbalance the negative buoyancy effects of thick wetsuits at depth along with their heavy gear and in order to float high above water in heavy, rough seas. The Super Wing is also ideal for any diver who carries multiple heavyweight tanks. The Super Wing employs a Gusset Control System (GCS) cord woven through tabs on the front face of the wing. The GCS cord helps the Super Wing maintain a small profile for divers traversing in tight passages and the helps compression when dumping air. The Super Wing provides up to 90 pounds/41 kgs of lift and can accommodate two 120 ft3/19 L back mounted cylinders and two 80 ft3 /11 L stage bottles. Tough, ballistic nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion.

Dive Rite Aluminium Backplate

Invented by Greg Flanagan in 1979 for North Florida cave divers. Greg realized that a back-mounted buoyancy system gives a diver natural balance in the water, due to the diver's center of gravity (tanks) being surrounded by the center of buoyancy (BC/ wings). In addition, the diver gains a clean chest area with room for gear attachment points on the harness. Bill Hogarth Main went on to popularize the backplate and harness and dive purists who follow the DIR philosophy have come to embrace what is known today as the "Hogarthian Rig". Dive Rite began manufacturing backplates for the public in 1984 and pioneered 11-inch on center bolt spacing creating an industry standard that is still followed today. Sturdy, yet lightweight, the aluminum backplate is ideal for twin backmounted steel tanks since additional weight from the plate is not necessary.

Dive Rite 1" Crotch Strap

Preferred by most divers for its general comfort, the 1-inch crotch strap is ideal for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body. By using a crotch strap, divers can reduce the likelihood of their gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive. Nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. The 1-inch (25mm) crotch strap comes with a slide release buckle and scooter ring for divers who scooter and want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted easily.
Price: £7.95

Dive Rite 1
Dive Rite 2" Crotch Strap

Preferred by divers who use scooters (DPVs) for extended periods of time due to the added comfort the 2-inch width provides. Used for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver's body, the 2-inch crotch strap is used to reduce the likelihood of gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive. Continuous piece of nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. Includes a neoprene sleeve to protect exposure suit from abrasion.
Price: £14.95

Dive Rite Stabilising Plates

The stainless steel TransPac Stabilizing Plates firmly secure a TransPac to any set of double tanks that use industry-standard bands and bolts. They are curved to fit the spacing of double tanks, and are the only item needed to connect a TransPac harness and a wing to a set of double tanks (a hard backplate is not needed). The TransPac harness and the wing end up being sandwiched between the double tanks and the Stabilizing Plates, with the Stabilizing Plates functioning like large washers. Sold as a pair.

Dive Rite Two-Zipper Pocket

North Florida cave diver, Forrest Wilson, designed this pocket for cave divers in the late 1970's and it has certainly withstood the test of time. The Two Zip pocket can hold most anything and is often used for slates, dive tables, lights and jon lines. Each zipper accesses a separate pocket, making organization simple and locating items underwater much easier when mobility is restricted. Constructed of heavy duty nylon and Textilene PVC coated mesh, the Two Zip Pocket allows water to drain quickly after a dive and will stand up to years of use. An interior key ring secures car keys or other small items.

Dive Rite Thigh Pocket with Daisy Chain

Part of our new line of harness accessory pockets that builds upon technology from the backpacking industry. Each pocket includes daisy chain webbing on the external pocket for clipping Z-knives, trauma shears or any tool that you need in easy reach. Our new Thigh Pocket includes an innovative leg band made of a proprietary material used in bandages. The material holds up to salt water and dries quickly, plus silicone strips placed on the inside of the band grip your exposure suit and keep the leg band in place. At 4-inches in width (10 cm), the new leg band will be comfortable and secure. The pocket is attached via a buckle on the waist belt, allowing a diver to don or doff the thigh pocket without having to unbuckle the waist belt and slide the pocket off.

Dive Rite Integrated Weight Pocket System 32lb/14.5kg

The 32-lb Weight Pocket System is ideal for cold water diving where more weight is needed due to thick exposure protection. Each pocket consists of a pocket insert that holds the lead and fits inside the weight pocket holster. This set of right and left hand pockets are designed for use with the TransPac Harness or TransPlate Harness. The 32-lb Weight Pocket System mounts over the stainless steel side plates of the harness to weight the diver and aid with trim. The pockets are set at an angle, which helps the diver to easily slip the holster into the pocket with one hand while wearing the BC. The top-loading weight pocket gives added security that weight will stay in place, while the Velcro flap quickly releases allowing divers to quickly dump the weight or hand it off to a boat divemaster before climbing aboard a dive boat.
